Pamela Kay Roberts-Yakel Obituary

Pamela Kay Roberts-Yakel, 65, of Saint Joseph, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at her home in Saint Joseph.

The family will receive guests from 1pm until time of celebration of life service at 3pm, Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., Saint Joseph. Burial will take place at 10am, Monday, September 8, 2025 at Riverview Cemetery, Saint Joseph. Memorial contributions may be given to the Berrien County Cancer Service, www.bccancerservice.org.

Pam was born October 16, 1959 in Saint Joseph, MI to Bobby and Norma (King) Roberts. On July 11, 1987 she married Paul Yakel in Sodus, MI. Together, they owned and operated Pauly’s Bar & Grill on Territorial Rd for five years before selling. She spent 18 years working at the Berrien County Courthouse in Saint Joseph as an administrator in the traffic department before her retirement. Paul and Pam retired to Florida, where they lived for eight years before returning to Saint Joseph two years ago.

Pam will be missed by her husband of 38 years, Paul Yakel; her daughter, Shelly McGeary; six grandchildren; one great grandchildren; her mother, Norma Roberts; her brother, James (Mili Garrillo) Roberts; and her brother-in-law, John (Michelle) Yakel. She is preceded in death by her son, Paul J. Yakel; her father, Bobby Roberts; her brother-in-law, Bill “Elvis” Yakel; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Harmon.
