Sharon A. Books, 75 of Coloma passed away on November 16, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born August 26, 1948 in Benton Harbor to Fremont and Norma (Pelton) Books. She spent most of her early adult life raising her children and taking care of her family, later on working numerous places including for the Herald Palladium, Big Boy in Stevensville and for United Way. Sharon was a strong-willed woman who had a love for shopping, especially at Goodwill, and home decorating but also enjoyed her cats, her dog Sammy, hosting and cooking for all of the holidays, and collecting knick-knacks.

Sharon is survived by her daughters Theresa Ward of Lawrence and Sharon Ward of Coloma; her brothers Glenn Books and Fremont Books; grandchildren John, Tacy, Thomas, Matthew (Kristen), Kim (Anthony), Candice (Justin), Christina, Cassandra and Mikala (Eric); and great grandchildren Charlotte, Heather, Anthony, Dayton, Alexis, Zoey-Lynn, Rallen, Gary, Lucas, Maxwell, Marley, Delia, Ty, Gabriel, Hunter, Donald and Caden.

In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded by her stillborn son Raymond James Ward, her lifelong friends Robert Franks and LeRoy Crowe and her Aunt Pat and Uncle Bill Gardener.
