Armed Robbery at JD's Truck Stop

Narrative:
On December 21, 2024 at approx. 0403 hrs, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office responded to JD’s Truck Stop, 1655 Mayflower Rd, Buchanan Twp for an armed robbery. A masked man entered the business and demanded money from an employee. The masked man was armed with a pistol that was visible in his coat pocket. The masked man then fled the scene and was not apprehended by law enforcement.
During the investigation it was determined that more than one suspect was involved in the armed robbery. On January 7, 2025, Detectives from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln Township Police served a search warrant at a residence in Lincoln Township. As a result of the search warrant, a 31 year old male and a 50 year old female were arrested and lodge at the Berrien County Jail for armed robbery. The names of the accused will be released after their arraignment.

***UPDATE***
On 01-09-24, Todd Anthony Forker 06-29-94 and Gina Lee Stevens 11-18-74, both of Stevensville, MI, were arraigned in 5th District Berrien County Court. Both were arraigned for the felony charge of armed robbery.

Forker is being held at the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Jail on a $75,000 cash surety bond.

Stevens is being held at the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Jail on a $50,000 cash surety bond.

This incident continues to be investigated.
