Boo Bash at Silver Beach Carousel
“I smell children” during the Third Annual Halloween Boo Bash, Oct. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Silver Beach Center below the bluff in downtown St. Joseph, MI. It’s tough to top a Halloween Party with a Scarousel, the Sanderson Sister witches, a magician and other eerie-ristable activities. Yet, that’s what awaits families on Oct. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. during the Third Annual Halloween Boo Bash at Silver Beach Center, 333 Broad Street, St. Joseph. Each admission ticket gives guests three hours of fang-tastic memories. Dress up in your pretty princess to frightful monster costumes and enjoy:
- Spellbinding magic performances by John Dudley.
- Two free rides on the not-so-scary Scarousel. Pick your favorites from 48 horses and lovable figures. One chariot is wheelchair-accessible so everyone can spin around the decorated Carousel House. For a small fee, guests can purchase additional tokens to enjoy more rides.
- Free admission to the Curious Kids’ Discovery Zone and its hands-on learning exhibits for all ages.
- Personal photo opportunities with “The Sanderson Sisters” — the witches made famous in the movie HOCUS POCUS.
- Boo-It-Yourself cookie decorating, fresh apple cider, snack-sized Slim Jims, popcorn and chips for hungry characters.

Silver Beach Carousel (circa 2010) features 48 hand-carved, hand-painted figures and two chariots. Over 1,000 twinkling lights enhance the Carousel’s frame while the 18 rounding boards around the top of the machine share Southwest Michigan’s rich history with colorized, vintage photos.
