Michigan Notable Book Author Visit with Zoe Persico

Zoe Persico is an award-winning author and illustrator known for her whimsical, colorful art and middle-grade graphic novels. Originally from the Midwest and currently residing in Florida, she created the Michigan Notable Book How to Talk to Your Succulent. She has done visual development work for major studios like Dreamworks Animation, Bento Box Entertainment, and Sesame Workshop.
Zoe will share her latest book, display personal sketchbooks, and explain how she develops stories from initial ideas to finished art.
This program is perfect for young artists and aspiring writers curious about the creative process.
Signed books will be available for purchase.

Chalkin’ It Up with Local Artist Kim Wood

Kim Wood is a professional muralist, chalk artist, and art educator based in Southwest Michigan. With experience creating large-scale public art at festivals and community events, she brings both real-world expertise and an encouraging teaching style.
During this chalk demo, students can learn the basics of drawing big while building confidence, creativity, and a love for making art outdoors.
Join us in the south parking lot of the library.

After-Hours Movie Night: Hamilton

Join us on Friday, July 17th, at 5:30pm for a free screening of Hamilton, a live-captured Broadway musical telling the life story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. From his rise as an immigrant orphan to George Washington’s right-hand man and the first Treasury Secretary, the show explores his immense ambition, his tumultuous rivalries, and the tragic duel that ended his life.
Popcorn will be available. Feel free to bring a comfy chair, if you wish.
John Dudley Magic Show

BPL 60th Anniversary Family Fun Carnival @ Toth Street Park

On August 1, the Bridgman Public Library will host a community celebration at Toth Street Park to honor its 60th anniversary.
The event will transform Toth Street Park into a festival featuring entertainment for all ages. Younger attendees can look forward to face painting, a bounce house, and classic carnival games. Adults can participate in competitive rounds of Bingo and enter to win raffle drawings featuring premium local prizes.
Regional favorites Ben’s Pretzels and the Cruisin' Cow Ice Cream Truck will also be parked on-site, serving up warm pretzels and cool sweet treats throughout the afternoon.
The event is completely free and open to the public.
