Cornerstone Alliance Highlights Corner at Wall Street Apartments Groundbreaking in Benton Harbor
Cornerstone Alliance is proud to share the celebration of the groundbreaking for the Corner at Wall Street Apartments in Benton Harbor. The event by MHT Housing will take place Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 AM at 126 West Wall Street, Benton Harbor, MI.
This $20.6 million development by MHT Housing Inc. and LC Consultants II, LLC will bring 46 one-bedroom Permanent Supportive Housing units to the community, along with commercial space, management offices, and on-site supportive services. Each unit will be fully furnished, and residents will have access to community spaces and support coordinated by Region IV Area Agency on Aging, Riverwood Center, and Emergency Shelter Services.
Cornerstone Alliance played an active role early in the development process, providing the land to MHT and helping lay the groundwork for the project. The property is now owned by a joint venture between LC Consultants II, LLC and MHT Housing Inc., with funding provided through the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and Project-Based Vouchers.
Construction began in May 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. This project reflects the collaboration between the City of Benton Harbor, MSHDA, LC Consultants II, MHT Housing, Cornerstone Alliance, and other partners, all working together to make this important housing opportunity a reality.
