This is D/Sgt. Fred Laesch of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department for Crime Stoppers. The crime of the week comes from the files of the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety.
On October 14, 2013 at approximately 8:54 AM, three individuals visited a residence located at 1011 Lavette St., City of Benton Harbor. The three individuals were confronted by an unknown male inside the residence who pointed a gun at the individuals and ordered them to the floor, while a second unknown male came from a back room with a gun in an attempt to rob the three individuals. One of the individuals fled the residence while being pursued by the second unknown male with a gun; who then disappeared upon the police arriving at the residence.
