Auditions for Anastasia the Musical
Twin City Players has scheduled a Director’s Forum and Auditions for its production of Anastasia the Musical, book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, inspired by the Twentieth Century Fox Motion Pictures by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical, from the play by Marcelle Maurette as adapted by Guy Bolton. The production is the final production in Twin City Players’ 92nd Mainstage Season.
A Director’s Forum, for those wishing to meet the director and learn more about the show, auditions, and additional ways to be involved, will be held Thursday, March 13 at 7 pm. Auditions are scheduled for Monday, March 24 and Tuesday, March 25, at 7 pm, in The Studio at Twin City Players, 600 W. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Cassidy Vlietstra directs the production.

Inspired by the beloved films, Anastasia transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family. This spectacular musical includes songs from the hit animated film, “Journey to the Past” and “Once Upon a December.”
