Domestic Violence Report

OFFENSE:  Domestic Violence           

DATE:  April 24, 2018                        

TIME:  4:33 P.M.

LOCATION:   1700 Block of Forres Ave. St. Joseph, MI 49085          

AGENCIES INVOLVED:  Berrien County Sherriff Department road patrol, Berrien County Sheriff Department Tactical Response Unit and Berrien County Crisis Intervention Team

On April 24, 2018 at 4:33 P.M. the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety responded to the 1700 Block of Forres Avenue on the report of a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim who said she was assaulted. The male subject refused to cooperate with police inside this residence and refused to come out.  Officers had information he was intoxicated and armed with an unknown weapon.  As a precautionary measure, the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety contacted the Berrien County Sheriff Department for assistance.  Through the cooperation of both agencies the subject was taken into custody and lodged at the Berrien County Sheriff Department.  There were no injuries reported during this incident.
