Dr. Kasewurm Returns from United Nations Event in NYC
Dr. Gyl Kasewurm owner of Professional Hearing Services in St. Joseph recently attended an ear and hearing health event at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. As a Starkey Global Hearing Ambassador, Dr. Kasewurm was invited to participate in this exclusive event. The keynote speaker was former President Bill Clinton, the 42nd president of the United States. This event resulted in engaging and important conversations about the state of global hearing health including increased national funding, philanthropic support, and international foreign aid for ear and hearing health.
During this session, Bill Austin, Founder of Starkey Hearing Technologies, was officially named the firstGoodwill Global Ambassador for Ear and Hearing Health by the International Federation for Peace and Sustainable Development. With his new position, Bill Austin will continue working to achieve his life-long mission of aiding and supporting people with hearing loss around the globe. He will also strengthen relationships with community leaders and lawmakers worldwide to increase the accessibility of hearing care for all.
