Electronics Recycling Drive at First Church of God - St. Joseph on June 14

First Church of God in St. Joseph is hosting a community-wide electronics
recycling collection on Sunday, June 14, 2015.  Electronics waste will be
collected in the First Church parking lot at 2627 Niles Avenue in St.
Joseph from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Residents can drop off any consumer
electronic for recycling such as computers, televisions, microwaves, DVD
players, stereos, toasters, power tools, cell phones, vacuum cleaners,
refrigerators, window air conditioners, appliances and anything with a
cord or battery.  Items will be accepted at no charge to the resident.
This event is for residential electronics only.
For residents who are not physically able to haul electronic equipment or
do not have the transportation means, there is a small group of Church
volunteers available to pick up material from those resident's homes, by
appointment.  The pickup area is a 20 mile radius from the Church in St.
Joseph.  The pick-up of electronics will occur on June 14th, as well.
Green Earth Electronics Recycling, based in St. Joseph, will be providing
the recycling service.  Green Earth Electronics Recycling is a registered
electronic waste recycler with the Michigan Department of Environmental
Quality.  They are dedicated to the proper handling of unwanted
electronics by finding secure avenues for re-use, refurbish, and recycling
of items.
Jesus tells us to love our neighbors and First Church believes that
includes reaching out to serve our community.  The Church congregation
gives back to the community as part of the annual Do Something! community
outreach.
