Fatal Accidient on Napier Ave.

FATAL ACCIDENT

 

 

On Friday, January 19th at 1958 hours officers from the St. Joseph Township Police Department were dispatched to the area of 245 W. Napier in reference to a car/pedestrian accident. 

 

Upon arrival officers were advised that a westbound vehicle had struck a pedestrian who had been walking in the roadway.  The victim, a 21 year old male from St. Joseph, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The accident remains under investigation.

 

St. Joseph Township Police were assisted by the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety, Medic One, Berrien County Sheriffs Department Road Patrol and Accident Investigation Team and the St. Joseph Township Fire Dept.

THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT IS 64 YEAR OLD DENELLE HUNT OF SAINT JOSEPH.

 

THE VICTIM IN THIS ACCIDENT IS BRIAN JOSEPH ELFTMANN, A 21 YEAR OLD MALE FROM SAINT JOSEPH.

 

THE ACCIDENT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
