Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident, W US Hwy 12 near Sage Rd Galien

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Dept is investigating a fatal vehicle accident that occurred on W US Hwy 12 near Sage Rd on 2/11/16 at approx. 0647 hours.  A vehicle driven by Jeffrey Norman, 52 of Granger, IN was heading west on US 12, while the other vehicle, driven by Luann Woodrick, 55 of Galien, MI was heading east on US 12.  It is believed that one of the vehicles crossed over the center line and struck the other vehicle head on.  Both drivers had to be extricated from the vehicles with help from Bertrand Twp. Fire and Niles Twp Fire and the Jaws of Life.  SMCAS Ambulance transported both drivers to Memorial Hospital of South Bend, IN.  Norman was being treated for very minor injuries.  Woodrick was pronounced dead at the hospital due to blunt force trauma.  The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department is investigating this incident
