Homicide 900 block of Lavette St. City of Benton Harbor.

On 3/30/15 at approximately 01:15hrs, officers of the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the 900 block of Lavette St. in regards to several shots being fired and several subjects fleeing from the area.

When the BHDPS officers arrived on the scene, they located a 32 year old male deceased and lying on the sidewalk.

The victim was identified as Ronnie Polo Lindsey, who resided in the 900 block of Lavette St.

The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety and the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a joint investigation into the homicide of Ronnie Lindsey and the two agencies are also being assisted in the investigation by members of the Berrien County Homicide Task Force and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force.

Members of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Technicians also assisted in the investigation by “processing” the crime scene.

The investigation into the motive of this homicide is continuing.

The investigation into who is also responsible for this homicide is also on-going.
