Indecent Exposure Niles Avenue near Botham, City of St. Joseph

On Thursday, May 28, 2015, the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety responded to the area of Niles Ave. /Botham on a report of a subject walking naked in the middle of the roadway. On arrival, officers observed Nisar walking down the center turn lane on Niles Ave. near Botham, completely nude. Officers were able to immediately and peacefully take him into protective custody. Nisar was transported to Lakeland Hospital where he was examined, determined he had no injuries and released back to the custody of SJDPS. Nisar was charged with indecent exposure, a 1 year misdeamnor, and lodged at the Berrien County Jail. While his motivation is unclear, it was learned during the course of the investigation, Nisar had voluntarily admitted himself for mental evaluation, was examined and released after no evidence of mental illness was found, wanted to go back so he exposed himself as described above.
