Klippers Family Salon Under New Ownership

One of Bridgman’s longtime cosmetologists, Suzi Kanger, has announced she is officially retiring and transiting ownership of Klippers Family Salon to employee Shelli Wasko. The sale, effective January 1st, marks the end of an era for Kanger, who has owned and operated her salon in Bridgman for 40 years.

Kanger shared the following announcement on the Greater Bridgman Area Chamber and Growth Alliance (CGA) Facebook page on Friday, January 26th:

Where has 40 years gone? As owner of Kangeroo Klippers I am blessed to have known so many and have enjoyed every minute, every shampoo, and every cut of my scissors.

To my staff, Shelli, Sandi, and Shelby: thank you for standing next to and with me over the years - you are all the best and I will miss seeing you everyday.

To my clients: You have become my family and dear friends. All of our visits, laughs and tears made these 40 years go by so incredibly fast!

The time has come for me to pass the torch to Shelli Wasko, the new owner of KLIPPERS SALON in Bridgman. She and her staff will continue keeping you looking your best!

So, here’s to a new chapter my friends. Stay beautiful as you always are.

Much love,

Suzi Kanger

“I’m honored that Suzi has allowed me to take the reins of Klippers Family Salon and, in turn, continue to build on her legacy in Bridgman. Our team is ready to continue serving clients and, as she said, keep them looking their best,” says new owner Shelli Wasko.

Board President of the Bridgman CGA, Marty Mason adds, “We applaud Suzi’s 40 years of service to Bridgman and thank her for being a staple in the community. Additionally, we are incredibly excited to see another longtime Bridgman resident, Shelli Wasko, as the new owner.”
