George Krasl Memorial Concert

Krasl Art Center is proud to present this year's George Krasl Memorial Concert. The concert will take place outside on the oval lawn at Krasl Art Center, 707 Lake Blvd, St. Joseph, MI and will feature the musical group, Headband Henny on August 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM. It is FREE to attend the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
Headband Henny is the alternative R&B and hip-hop solo music project of Henry Parworth, a rising singer-songwriter from the Vine Neighborhood in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His genre-blending sound mixes bedroom pop, soul, and jazz.
ABOUT THE GEORGE KRASL MEMORIAL CONCERT
George Krasl was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1903. He studied chemistry and made his way to St. Joseph via Chicago in search of career opportunities in the United States. Here, he met his wife, Olga (Schultz) Krasl, invented the Rapid Carbon Determinator, and founded the LECO Corporation in Benton Harbor. He was also an avid supporter of the arts, a hobby photographer, music aficionado, and the benefactor of Krasl Art Center. The George Krasl Memorial Concert is an opportunity to honor him annually in a celebration of music and art.
