Lakeland Launches Redesigned Website
(ST. JOSEPH) – Lakeland Health recently introduced a newly redesigned website, located at www.lakelandhealth.org. With more than 1,200 pages of information, the website covers all Lakeland locations, programs, and services, including microsites for more than 14 medical practices.
“Our goal with the redesign was to create a valuable health resource for our community,” said Megan Yore, Director of Marketing and Communications, Lakeland Health. “Team members across the organization have worked together to provide visitors with information that is timely, accurate, and easy to navigate.”
The improvements include a number of features to enhance accessibility. A new responsive design allows the site to automatically resize to any device, whether a visitor is accessing on a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. With one simple click on the toolbar, a visitor can translate the entire site to another language. In addition, the site’s robust search tools now display content based on how applicable it is to a visitor’s request, rather than alphabetically.
Visitors looking for new providers can quickly and effectively search and view physician profiles based on location, expertise and training, and patient ratings. Lakeland medical practices and other facilities can be searched by type, specialty, or zip code, with real-time Google Map driving directions provided.
The site also provides visitors with a centralized source for the latest health and wellness information, both on the local and national levels. Lakeland has incorporated content reviewed by healthcare professionals into the site, including news stories, articles, and risk assessments. The content is refreshed regularly and appears in both a health library and in sidebars alongside pages on related health topics. All upcoming community wellness classes and events can be easily searched in an online calendar and then added to a visitor’s personal calendar.
