Lakeshore Rotary announces return of tradition: Senior Citizen Night and Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
The Rotary Club of Lakeshore is bringing back one of its most cherished service projects, Senior Citizen Night, on April 30 at Lakeshore High School. After a brief hiatus, the decades-long tradition returns to honor local seniors with an evening of complimentary food and musical entertainment.
Senior Citizen Night will run from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring a cabaret performance by the Lakeshore High School choir. To celebrate the return of the legacy project, all seniors holding a Senior Night ticket will receive a free meal at the concurrent spaghetti dinner fundraiser.
"Senior Night is a cornerstone of our club’s history," said Frank Beltran, Lakeshore Rotary Club president. "This is a decades-long commitment to our community’s seniors. After a few years away, we are thrilled to bring back this night of music and connection to serve those who have given so much to our area."
Free tickets for Senior Citizen Night are available for pickup at several local senior centers and retirement communities, including Crown Point, Serenity Living, Story Point, Woodland Terrace, Whitcomb Tower and Willows.
In conjunction with the festivities, the club will host its spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lakeshore High School cafeteria. The dinner is open to the general public for $10 per person, with both dine-in and carry-out options available.
"The spaghetti dinner fundraiser is a wonderful way for the entire community to support local service," said Katie White, public image chair. "Every ticket purchased helps us fund vital efforts like the North Lake Park improvements and, of course, ensures we can continue traditions like Senior Night for years to come."
All proceeds from the fundraiser will be directed toward Lakeshore Rotary Club community projects. Members of the public are encouraged to attend to enjoy a meal and support the continued enhancement of the Lakeshore area.
The Rotary Club of Lakeshore is a group of professionals and community leaders committed to "Service Above Self." Through fundraisers and volunteer projects, the club works to improve local infrastructure, support education and foster community spirit.
