Lincoln Township Public Library Hosts author Angeline Boulley
Lincoln Township Public Library is excited to host bestselling young adult author Angeline Boulley on Monday, November 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore High School auditorium, located at 5771 Cleveland Avenue in Stevensville, MI.
Boulley's 2021 novel, Firekeeper's Daughter, reached #1 on the Young Adult New York Times Bestseller list, was named one of Time magazine's 100 Best Young Adult Books of all time, and has won numerous other awards and honors. Two of her other books, Warrior Girl Unearthed and Sisters in the Wind, have also made the New York Times Bestseller list.
From 6:00 to 7:00, Boulley will give her presentation, "Stories are Good Medicine," to share her experiences as a writer and a storyteller as part of Native American Heritage Month. From 7:00 to 8:00, Boulley will be signing copies of her books for audience members. Forever Books in St. Joseph will be on hand to sell copies of her books as well.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Angeline Boulley to our community,” said Joelle Wake, Director of Lincoln Township Public Library. “Her work gives readers an opportunity to learn, connect, and see the power of stories to build understanding. We are especially pleased that her presentation will help lead into our upcoming Michigan Humanities exhibit on the Anishinaabek people that will be at the Library in December and January. We hope this is the beginning of a meaningful opportunity for our community to learn more about Anishinaabe history, culture, and contemporary experiences."
Admission is free, and no prior registration is required. For more information, contact the library at (269) 429-9575 or visit the library online at lincolnlib.org.
