PACHYDERM PEDALERS OF STEVENSVILLE BECOME 501(c)(3) NON-PROFIT
Local Cycling Club Expands Mission with Community Support & Annual Beer:30 Fundraiser

The Pachyderm Pedalers, a longtime cycling club based in Stevensville, Michigan, is proud to announce that it has officially received 501(c)(3) non-profit status. This recognition allows the club to expand its mission of promoting recreational cycling, building community, and supporting local charitable causes.

“This milestone gives us greater ability to serve our community and connect more people to the joy of cycling,” said Greg Collins, President and Founder of the Pachyderm Pedalers. “We’re excited for what lies ahead.”

As a newly recognized non-profit, the Pachyderm Pedalers can now accept tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and further partner with local organizations to promote health, sustainability, and equity through cycling.

Entering into their 9th season, what began with 5 riders in 2017 gathering for a weekly bike ride has grown to 200+ riders each Thursday night at Watermark Brewing Company in Stevensville. The group accommodates any rider on any bike with pace groups from a slow roll to 23+ mph hour.

Annual Beer:30 Fundraiser
The club’s annual hallmark event, The Beer:30, brings riders together for a fun and festive ride to raise funds for Cycle-Re-Cycle of Benton Harbor—a nonprofit organization that provides refurbished bikes, bike education, and repair resources to people of all ages and income levels. This year’s event on September 6, 2025 will be the 7th year for The Beer:30 with proceeds directly supporting Cycle-Re-Cycle’s community-focused mission.
