Narcotics Search Warrants 372 E. Empire, Benton Harbor City 03-06-2015

Officers of the Berrien County Narcotics Unit were following up on information of concerned citizens reporting people traffic coming and going for the front apartments of 372 E. Empire.  Officers of the Narcotics unit obtained information and search warrants for both residences, being Apartment #1 and Apartment #2.

With the assistance from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, Narcotics officers served both warrants at the same time. 

After the occupants were secured, a search of Apartment #1 recovered packaging material but no controlled substances were located.  The two male subjects located inside the residence were file checked and found to have outstanding warrants out for their arrest.  Osby was wanted for a FTA B&E warrant out of Berrien County.  Sanders was wanted on a MDOC Parole Violation. 

Officers also secured the three occupants in Apartment #2.  After those occupants were secured, a search of the apartment located drug use items.  The occupants in Apartment #2 were questioned for the items found. 

A copy of these reports will be forwarded to the BC Prosecutors Office to see if charges will be authorized on the items found.
