May 7, 1954 – October 21, 2026

Rolando Ariño Quiñanola, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. He was born

on May 7, 1954, in Cebu City, Philippines, to the late Fruto Sr. and Teresa Quiñanola. Rolando

was a hardworking, humble, and devoted family man whose life was guided by his Christian faith,

perseverance, and love for those closest to him.

Rolando earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Cebu Institute

of Technology in the Philippines in 1977. His professional journey took him across several

countries, including working in the oilfields of the Middle East during the 1980s. Driven by his

love for his family, he worked tirelessly to provide for their needs and help fulfill his mother's

dream of sending his younger siblings to college. He later moved to Australia before immigrating

to the United States in the late 1990s, settling in Michigan. After many years of dedicated service,

he retired from Honeywell Aerospace in South Bend, Indiana.

A man of deep Christian faith, Rolando was saved and baptized at Bible Baptist Church in Cebu

Church in Berrien Springs, Michigan; and The Chapel in St. Joseph, Michigan.

Rolando enjoyed reading, playing chess, spending time in nature, studying the Bible, and

celebrating his Filipino heritage. He was a member of the Association of Filipino Americans of

Michiana (AFAM) in South Bend and United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 9. He valued family,

friendship, and fellowship, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Above all, Rolando's greatest joy and pride was his beloved daughter, Teresa “Ruthie” Quiñanola.

As a dedicated father, he treasured their time together and was committed to guiding her toward a

strong relationship with God. At the time of his passing, he was engaged to his beloved fiancée,

Pamela Camoro of the Philippines, and was making arrangements for her immigration to the

United States so they could begin their future together.

Rolando is survived by his daughter, Teresa “Ruthie” Quiñanola; his fiancée, Pamela Camoro; and

his siblings: Fruto Jr. (Jasmine) Quiñanola of Australia; Teresita (Jonathan) Datoy of Australia,
