SENIOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY KITCHENAID GIVES BACK TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH TICKET SALES

BENTON HARBOR, Michigan, Feb. 09, 2016– The PGA of Americais proud to announce its Community Reach Salefor tickets to the 2016 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. The Championship will take place May 24-29 at Harbor Shoresin Benton Harbor, Michigan, which has played host to two previous Senior PGA Championships.

The Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid is committed to connecting with the community’s needs and supporting local charities and organizations. During the Community Reach Sale, available only online through the Championship’s website, the Championship will donate 25 percent of total ticket sales to a local organization. Fans can select which local charitable organization to support during the online check-out process. The organization with the most tickets sold will receive an additional 10 percent of the program ticket sales as an added benefit.

“Connecting to the communities in which we operate our Championships is a strong core value of the PGA,” said Ryan Ogle, championship director. “We are thrilled to be in the position where the Championship can benefit these great local organizations that truly grow a community.”

The participating organizations in the Community Reach Sale are Lake Michigan Catholic School, Benton Harbor Promise, St. Joseph Public Schools, Lakeshore Public Schools, The First Tee of Benton Harbor and Girls on the Run of Berrien Shoe Fund.

“This is more than a golf tournament,” said general chairman Mike Todman. “We have the opportunity to help strengthen the Benton Harbor community as a whole and continue to provide opportunities for our local youth.”
