• Star Lab- July 1st from 5pm-7pm See the Stars inside the library! Shows every 30 minutes.


• Teen Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures In Balder’s Gate- July 2nd Players will enjoy a 1 shot with DM Mike Walder. Enjoy snacks and a chance to win prizes!

Beginners 10:30-2p
Advanced 4-7:30.

• The Mystery of Nancy Drew- July 15th at 6pm Join historian Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., to explore the history of America’s favorite girl detective. Who was Carolyn Keene, author of the series? Why did this girls’ book series, more than any other captivate generations of readers?


• Teen “Will It Waffle?”- July 16th at 6pm Teen will get to create waffles using unusual food choices.


• Michigan Haunted Lighthouses w/ Dianna Stampfler- July 23rd at 6pm What is it about lighthouses that attract ghostly spirits? Maybe it's simply a passion that will not go away. Join us as Dianna Stampfler shares information based on her research.


• MINECRAFT Party- July 25th at 4pm Tweens can drop-in to enjoy some Minecraft-themed games, crafts, and snacks!


• Christmas in July w/ Artist TJ Schwartz- July 26th at 2pm (Children’s program) Join us in the auditorium as we Cool off with Crafts and local artist TJ Schwartz.


• Teen Paranormal Night- July 30th at 7pm Are there ghosts in the library? The Michigan Paranormal Alliance will be joining us to share with teens about ghost-hunting experiences. They will also be bringing in their ghost-hunting equipment and teaching teens how to use them
as they go on an after-hours hunt throughout our library.

• Children’s Kindermusik Dates: July 11th, July 18th, & July 25th at 10:30am Through a grant provided by the Monday Musical Club and in collaboration with the Citadel Dance and Music Center, the St. Joseph/ Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library will be presenting a series of demonstrations of the string, woodwind, brass & percussion families, how they work and make sounds. Children (and adults) will get to try them out with guidance from volunteers.
