Southwest Michigan Community Welcomes "The O’Jays" with Free Concert in Conjunction with Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid

BENTON HARBOR, Mich., February 12, 2016 – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and BET Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, The O’Jays, are coming to Benton Harbor, Michigan, for a free concert presented by Whirlpool Corporation during the week of the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, May 24-29 at Harbor Shores.

The concert will take place in advance of Memorial Day Weekend on the Thursday of Championship week, May 26. The show will be held at 7:00 p.m. ET at Dwight P. Mitchell City Center Park in downtown Benton Harbor and will be open to the public.

Admission to the Community Concert will be free.

“We’re looking to enhance the tradition of the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid here in Benton Harbor by providing unique activities for the people of this community,” said Greg Vaughn, vice chairman of the 77th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. “We’re excited to welcome such a legendary musical group to Benton Harbor in May.”

Local businesses and community leaders are working together to host the community concert for the people of Benton Harbor and to showcase Southwest Michigan to the thousands of visitors and golf fans who will be flocking to the area in May. Planning for additional community events in conjunction with the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid are underway and will be announced at a later date.
