Start a new Christmas Tradition with the Living Christmas Card

A little over a year ago, St. Matthew’s and Good Shepherd Lutheran church merged and became Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.   Each of the congregations was losing momentum with aging congregations and lowered membership.  The merger was intended to breathe new life into these congregations and to aid the congregations in doing the work of preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus.

The merger has been a wonderful thing.  One of the things that the congregation decided to do almost immediately was host a living nativity activity called the Living Christmas Card.  This activity uses many of the famous Christmas hymns we know and love along with having live actors acting out the Christmas message of Luke 2.

The congregation hopes to make this an annual event and invites the community to come and make a new Christmas tradition as they share the joy of the Christmas message.  Along with the Living Nativity showing every 15 minutes, the congregation invites you to see their sanctuary decorations, enjoy free refreshments (cookies, bars, hot chocolate and cider) before and after each showing in the fellowship hall, listen to Christmas music or browse the assortment of Christmas nativities while you wait for the next showing.

Make a new Christmas Tradition with Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1965 Broadway, Benton Harbor, with the Living Christmas Card.  This event will take place on Friday, December 6 with showings every 15 minutes beginning at 6:00 pm.  The last showing will take place at 8:00 pm. Hope to see you there!
