Structure Fire at the Super 8 Motel on Red Arrow Hwy.

LTFD was dispatched to a working structure fire at the Super 8 Motel on Red Arrow Hwy., just after 6:15pm, Thursday January 28th.  They were the first to arrive, finding heavy smoke conditions in rooms 106 & 206. All building occupants were evacuated and MABAS Box 42-H04 was struck. Crews went to work quickly and located the seat of the fire in the area between the 1st and 2nd floors. The fire was under control quickly. No one was injured. Thank you to our mutual aid partners, Baroda Fire Department,Bridgman Fire Department, Chikaming Twp. Fire & Rescue, Royalton Township Fire Department, Saint Joseph Department of Public Safety, St. St. Joseph Charter Township Fire Department Station #1, and St. Joe Twp. FD #2. Also assisting was Lincoln Township Police Department, Baroda-Lake Twp Police, and AEP.
