Suspicious Situation

The Lincoln Township Police Department reports it is investigating a reported possible attempted abduction of a child which occurred on Monday March 9th, 2015 just after 3 PM

Officers were called at approximately 7 PM by the parent of a 10 year old Christ Lutheran Elementary student who had told his mother about being approached by a stranger several hours earlier. The boy indicated he was walking home in the area of Cleveland Ave. and Redwood Drive when a Red or Silver vehicle pulled alongside of him, the driver was described as a Caucasian male in his 40's, wearing a red and white striped shirt with brown hair. The driver of the vehicle allegedly told the boy that "your sister has been involved in an accident, and your father wanted me to pick you up and take you to the hospital". The boys says he did not approach the car and immediately went home, he was uninjured in this incent.

Local schools have been made aware of this information and communication will take place with parents.
