NOW HIRING: Therapeutic Equestrian Center Hiring Equine & Barn Manager to Lead Horse Care and Barn Operations

 

The Therapeutic Equestrian Center (TEC) is seeking a passionate and experienced Equine & Barn Manager to lead the daily care of its Horse Heroes while overseeing barn operations and supporting the organization's mission of changing lives through the power of horses.

 

This paid, part-time position is ideal for someone with experience in horse care, barn management, and team leadership who enjoys working alongside staff and volunteers in a collaborative environment.  The Equine & Barn Manager will oversee horse health and wellness, daily barn operations, feed and supply management, training of barn and chore volunteers, and facility safety while ensuring compliance with Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) standards.

The successful candidate must have experience in horse care and barn operations, strong organizational and leadership abilities, and the ability to foster positive relationships with staff, volunteers, and the community.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and training barn staff and volunteers
  • Overseeing daily barn operations and facility management as it relates to the care of the horses
  • Managing horse health, veterinary care, and wellness records
  • Coordinating feed, bedding, medications, and supplies
  • Collaborating with TEC staff to support therapeutic riding programs and special events

 

The position offers up to 25 hours per week, with compensation based on qualifications.  Flexible availability is required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations.
