TORP Bursts Out with Colorful Laughs in Fall Improv Comedy Night
Summer fun slides right into fall foolishness in a night of unscripted hilarity during the next TORP Improv Comedy show on Friday, September 27, 7 p.m. at The Oak Room at the Citadel in Benton Harbor.
The TORP troupe continues to deliver laughs by the bushel full with scenes made up on the spot in a spirited 90-minute performance we are calling our Fa-Fa-Falliday Show. Each performance is based on audience suggestions, making every show fresh and unpredictable. We strive for PG13 or better and work to ensure our shows are both partisan politics-free and dolphin safe.
The Oak Room at The Citadel is located in the heart of the Benton Harbor Arts District at 91 Hinkley St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with $5 wine and beer available. Cash bar net proceeds benefit the Citadel Dance and Music Center. Tickets are just $10 each – an inflation busting special, limited time discount - and can be purchased at https://torp.ludus.com and at the door. Ample free parking is available directly across the street in the public parking lot.
ABOUT TORP AND THE PLAYERS
TORP began its reign of improvisational comedic revelry in 2011. The troupe has been causing fits of laughter while entertaining at charity events and public performances throughout southwest Michigan including for Lory’s Place, the Morton House, The Mendel Center’s Living Room Series, the Lake Michigan College Hospitality and Fine Arts programs, One Hundred Women Strong, and more. They are the house comedy troupe of The Oak Room at the Citadel in the Benton Harbor Arts District, where they perform once per quarter. The next Oak Room show is scheduled for Friday, December 17, 7 p.m.
The cast for this performance is scheduled to include, Stephen Kadwell, Amy McWhirter, Mike Nadolski, Nita Nicholie, Andy Sawyer and Joel Smiedendorf.
