Twin City Players Announces Clearing Out the Closet Costume Sale

to Support its Brian Swiger Memorial Scholarship Fund

Twin City Players is opening its doors to the public for a two-day one-of-a-kind community Clearing Out the Closet Costume Sale. Many unique pieces will be available for purchase, with proceeds directly supporting the theater’s established Brian Swiger Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Twin City Players has accumulated a vast collection of child and adult costumes from productions, including period dresses, quirky props, Halloween-ready ensembles, jewelry, hats, purses, wigs, and custom-made outerwear. This public sale offers local theater lovers, cosplayers, teachers, and early Halloween shoppers an opportunity to support the next generation of artists.

Twin City Players established the Brian Swiger Memorial Scholarship in 1996 in memory of former member Brian Swiger. Applications are handled by the Berrien Community Foundation. Scholarships are earmarked for seniors graduating from Berrien County high schools who have demonstrated a strong interest in theater-related activities during their academic careers. "Our costume inventory holds years of theatrical magic, but our true treasure is our community’s youth," says TCP Board President Scott Bradford. "By clearing out our racks, we are quite literally transforming old costumes into new opportunities. Every costume sold will directly pay for a student’s tuition, keeping the arts accessible to everyone."
