Twin City Players Schedules Auditions for
Sense & Sensibility
Twin City Players has scheduled Auditions for its production of Sense & Sensibility by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen. The production is the 5th production in Twin City Players’ 92nd Mainstage Season.
Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, February 9 at 1 pm and Monday, February 10 at 6:30 pm, in The Studio at Twin City Players, 600 W. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Julia Farrell Diefenbach directs the production.
A list of cast/characters needed and additional information to prepare for auditions is available on the TCP website, www.twincityplayers.org. People of all genders and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. For questions, please contact the director at juliafarrell21@gmail.com.
A playful new adaptation of the beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality. Sense & Sensibility examines our reactions, both reasonable and ridiculous, to societal pressures. When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?
Show dates are April 25 – May 11, 2025, Friday & Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are available at www.twincityplayers.org. Sense & Sensibility is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection, www.dramatists.com.
Twin City Players’ 2024-2025 Mainstage Season Sponsors are The Herald Palladium, Bradford Insurance Agency, Trilogy Counseling, Glenn & Kathy Ward Charitable Trust, Five Star Heating & Air Conditioning, and Lake Michigan Chiropractic, LLC. Show Sponsorships are available.
