The GhostLight Theatre (Benton Harbor) presents the Tony Award winning Broadway Musical “LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS”
The GhostLight Theatre’s 2026 summer finale will be the long-time broadway favorite “LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS”. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world. Little Shop Of Horrors is a deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical that has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years, and it opens at The GhostLight Theatre on Thursday, August 13th and continue through Sunday, August 30th at the theatre’s black box home in the Arts District of Benton Harbor.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
Little Shop of Horrors is stage directed & choreographed by Lari Lawrence-Gist, with music direction/conducting by Braden Miesse and Jonathan Clough, set design by Andy Sawyer, costume design by Megan Myers, light design by Collin Wagner, sound design by Logan Reeves, with assistant directing by Kimberly Barber, and Stage Management by Anastasia Field and Jaqueline Crevier.
The cast of Little Shop of Horrors includes Coby Henslee and Wes Shenker as Seymour Krelborn, Paige Mulick and Orange Renee Betelgeuse as Audrey, Avery Saylor as Mushnik, Sam Donoho as Orin Scrivello, Charles Gibson as The Voice of Audrey II, Aly Arroyo-Montes as Crystal, Deonna McGrew as Ronnette, Leiah Seawood as Chiffon, and TJ Nichols, Zoey Owens and Amelia Lifferth round out the Ensemble. NOTE: The double casting of Seymour/Audrey alternates nightly with Henslee/Mulick performing August 13, 15, 21, 23, 27, & 29 while the cast of Shenker/Betelgeuse performs August 14, 16, 20, 22, 28, & 30th.
The Orchestra Pit band will include: Braden Miesse and Jon Clough on Keyboard 1, Beth Gray and Gabriel Palacios on Keyboard 2, Glenn McFarland and Chris Collins on Drums/Percussion, Ben Cripe on Guitar, Ivan Torres on Bass and Emily Mikel on Reeds.

Doors will open at 7:00 on weeknights and 2:30 pm on Sundays. Little Shop of Horrors is rated PG-13 for mature thematic material, comic horror violence, and substance abuse. Key content triggers include domestic abuse, mild gore, and dark themes. The run time is approximately 2 hours with one 15-minute intermission.
General admission theatre tickets range from $20-$32 and 2-person VIP tables are also available in limited quantity for $85 total.

• What The Constitution Means to Me– a co-production play with the University of Notre Dame– directed by Matthew Hawkins - September 18-27
• One Party Consent – a **2026 Jeff Award winning play by Omer Abbas Salem – directed by Steppenwolf Theatre Ensemble member Caroline Neff - October 15-25
• Avenue Q – the musical by Jeff Marx & Bobby Lopez– directed by Paige Mulick- December 3-13
