The Art of Making a Delectable Green Salad Class to Be Presented

Have you ever pulled out a bag of prepared salad that is a requisite for a healthful meal, but thought, "This doesn't look very appealing." or "I don't think I'll eat much of this, because the rest of the menu looks way more tasty."?  A class coming up the end of this month aims to change that for you.  Imagine creating a salad that you look forward to eating, that looks beautiful, tastes amazing, is made from common ingredients in your kitchen, and is nutritious to boot!

Principles will be shared that you will be able to use at home to create green salads with both savory and sweet leanings. Some easy, inexpensive, and flavorful salad dressings will also be shared that keep well for multiple uses.  You will be able to make simple side salads or hearty main course salads.

The presenter is Margaret Brown, a retired nurse and adult/oncology nurse practitioner.  She is passionate about using food and lifestyle to facilitate health, as it has helped her own family to overcome health challenges.  The kitchen and garden are her "happy places".  She is quick to acknowledge all are on a journey, pursuing health, and some people focus on different aspects.  Her focus is on whole plant foods.

The class is free!  Samples will be offered at the end of class.  Come Thursday evening, February 26 at 6:30 p.m.  The class will be presented in the Fellowship Hall of the St. Joseph SDA Church at 1201 Maiden Lane, St. Joseph.
