BARGAIN HUNTERS WILL FIND GREAT BUYS IN DOWNTOWN ST. JOSEPH, MICH. ON BLACK FRIDAY AND SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, NOV 28-29
Bargain hunters seeking a more relaxing gift buying experience will find it in downtown St. Joseph, Mich., on Black Friday, Nov. 28, and Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29. Merchants will begin their extended holiday hours on Black Friday. On Small Business Saturday, special giveaways, discounts and guest appearances will bring shoppers to this Lake Michigan resort town. That day, in addition to special sales, shoppers can also enjoy free, horse-drawn trolley rides from noon to 3 p.m. (weather permitting) sponsored by the Frederick S. Upton Foundation.
“You’ll find gift ideas for everyone on your list from our merchants, restaurants and entertainment venues,” said Jill Stone, executive director of St. Joseph Today. “From the latest fashions to locally made wines and candies, to gourmet foods, to award-winning toys and games to museum memberships to fresh-baked pet biscuits, you won’t be disappointed with all of your choices.”
Stone said downtown St. Joseph is an especially good venue for people who seldom go shopping. “Our shops are not overwhelming like the big box stores. The owners and associates are very attentive to helping you find gifts within your budget.” Stone said another appreciated present is a St. Joseph Today gift certificate, redeemable at participating member stores, restaurants and hotels. They can be purchased at the Welcome Center, 301 State St.
