Cornerstone Alliance Hosts Developer Day
Cornerstone Alliance Hosts Developer Day to Showcase Berrien County’s Growth Opportunities
Cornerstone Alliance brought together more than 55 developers, bankers, construction firms, and environmental consultants for its 2025 Developer Day, a unique bus tour highlighting key housing, commercial, and industrial development opportunities across Berrien County.
The full-day event featured guided stops in Stevensville, Buchanan, Niles, St. Joseph, and Benton Harbor, where municipal leaders, site owners, and Cornerstone Alliance staff outlined available properties, future growth sites, and community priorities. Each site was selected to showcase a range of projects, from attainable housing developments to commercial corridors and industrial-ready properties, offering participants a comprehensive look at Berrien County’s diverse investment landscape.
“Berrien County is ready for its next chapter of growth,” said Greg King, Director of Economic Development at Cornerstone Alliance. “Developer Day brings together the investors, builders, and financial partners who can transform our communities. By highlighting opportunities in five different municipalities, we are showing that Berrien County is open for business, collaborative, and committed to long-term growth.”
Throughout the tour, participants heard directly from municipal leaders and business partners about available sites, zoning readiness, infrastructure, workforce availability, and incentive opportunities.
Developer Day was made possible through the generous support of Wolverine Building Group, Mercantile Bank, Watermark Brewing, Fishbeck, and Abonmarche.
“Events like this are essential for aligning private investment with community needs,” said Andrew Haan, Senior Vice President of Community Development & Growth at Cornerstone Alliance. “When local communities and development partners work together, we create opportunities that strengthen Berrien County for residents, employers, and investors alike.”
Cornerstone Alliance plans to build on Developer Day’s momentum by facilitating ongoing site tours, project-specific discussions, and follow-up sessions with attendees interested in pursuing developments in Berrien County.
