This is D/Sgt. Fred Laesch of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department for Crime Stoppers. The crime of the week comes from the files of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
On November 9, 2013 at approximately 1:00 PM, the Berrien Co. Sheriff’s Dept. was dispatched to the Greek Orthodox Church located at 17760 Behner Rd., New Buffalo Twp. in reference to a larceny of a church bell. The church bell was stolen from the northwest side of the church in the parking lot area, due to some landscaping work being done. The unknown suspect(s) stole the bell between the hours of 5:00 PM on November 8, 2013 and 1:00 PM on November 9, 2013.
