CRIME STOPPERS CRIME OF THE WEEK July 14, 2014

This is D/Sgt. Fred Laesch of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department for Crime Stoppers.  The crime of the week comes from the files of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

On July 12, 2014 at approximately 12:53 AM, the Berrien Co. Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to 17670 E. Buffalo Rd., New Buffalo Township in reference to a breaking and entering.  The victim arrived home and found that the bedroom in the residence was ransacked.  As the victim was getting ready to call the police, the suspect was still inside the residence at which time the suspect punched the victim in the face and fled the area.  The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 6’4”, 190 lbs., wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask.

Crime Stoppers wants the person or persons responsible for this home invasion and assault and will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to their arrest.  Crime Stoppers also pays cash rewards on other felony crimes and the capture of fugitives.
