Denise R. Gonzalez Obituary

Denise R. Gonzalez, 73, of Sodus, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan. The family wishes to thank Hanson Hospice Center for providing compassionate care during Denise’s final days. Her departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, yet gratitude endures for the time shared and the indelible mark she leaves behind.

Denise was born on May 31, 1953, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to Gordon and Barbara Brant. Prior to retirement, she had worked at both Leco Corporation in St. Joseph for twelve years and later at Primart for two years. After retirement, Denise enjoyed watching over her grandchildren during the day. She was enjoyed watching football games on tv.

Denise is survived by her son Richard (Meredith) Albright of Canton, Georgia; her stepdaughter Victoria (Joseph Demski) Gonzalez of Sodus; brothers David (Judy) Brant of Portland, Oregon and Gordon Brant Jr. of Hillsboro, Oregon; sisters Kim Wolfe of Renton, Washington and Cathy (Dennis) Megna of Coloma; and five grandchildren, Aaron Wilson-Albright, Joshua Albright, Gabriella Opulskas, Gavin Demski and Gianna Demski; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Barbara Brant and her sister Lori Bowdish.
