Entries for “Shoot”

ST. JOSEPH: A call for entries for “Shoot” – an all photography show and competition – has been issued by the sponsor, the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St., in St. Joseph, MI. All photographers in the region of Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana are invited to enter the competition. Photographers may enter one or two photos for $20. Berrien Artist Guild members receive a discount and only pay a $15 entry fee. All photos must fit into one of the categories of: Still Life, Scenic, People, Animals and Abstract. Prizes of $200 each will be awarded for best in each category. Marc Ullom, professional photographer and teacher at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI, and the Academy of Art in San Francisco, will be the judge. Registration and photo delivery takes place on: Saturdays, Jan. 4 and Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday – Friday, Jan. 6-10 from 1-3 p.m., and additional evening hours on Friday, Jan 10 from 4-8 p.m. The exhibit will open with a reception and award presentation on Friday, Jan. 17 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. All work submitted will be hung in the show, which will be exhibited in all three of the Box Factory Galleries through March 1.
