Former Communist to Speak at Covenant Christian Church, Benton Harbor

Donald Soriano was left for dead as an infant because he was a twin.  On a remote island in the Philippines, twins were considered evil and were to be abandoned.  Donald was rescued by an American missionary.

In his early years, he became a recruiter for the Communist Party in the Philippines.  Through a miraculous transformation, he turned his life over to Jesus.  The Communists hunted him down and tortured him, yet he remained faithful.

Despite death threats on his life, Soriano has been able to establish an orphanage that takes care of hundreds of children, establish over 100 churches in the Philippines, and develop feeding programs for the hungry in his nation.

Donald and his wife, Cely, will be sharing their stories, which include many miracles and healings, at Covenant Christian Church in Benton Harbor on Sunday, September 28th.  All are welcome to join the service which begins at 11:00 a.m.. Covenant Christian Church is located across from Briarwood Apartments, at 1870 Union in Benton Harbor.
