FREE workshop for Disaster Preparedness 101
On Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 8:00 a.m., the Berrien County Local Emergency Planning Committee, along with the Continuity of Operations sub-committee, is hosting a Disaster Preparedness 101 workshop for all local businesses, small and large. This FREE workshop is designed to get any business owner started on their readiness plan. The workshop is a brief 90 minutes where you will be introduced to key tools that are available at no cost to help get a plan in place. Business owners will learn about the basics of Business Continuity Planning to save their business and preserve their ability to respond and recover from many different types of losses. Hands-on worksheets will help get you started on your plan before you leave the workshop! The instructor, Patrick Mangan, is trained in many aspects of disaster response and works with regional and national clients to facilitate business continuity planning. He also chairs the Continuity of Operations sub-committee. The workshop will be held at the Berrien County Emergency Management Office, 2100 E. Empire Ave., Benton Harbor.
