Improv Comedy at the Tin Shop Theatre

IMPROV COMEDY AT THE TIN SHOP THEATRE
The Improv Mill once again brings an evening of live improvised comedy to the Tin Shop Theatre, 108 East Roe St, Buchanan, MI, on Friday, July 11th. This unscripted night of hijinks where anything can happen (and often does) consists of two shows with 7:30 and 9:30 start times.
7:30PM - The I-Team Duel of Fools. This comedy duel pits two teams of improvisers against each other in a competition for the audience’s affection. Improvisers play games using audience suggestions to create spontaneous comedy. Akin to what you may have seen on Whose Line is it Anyway. Runs approximately 90 min with a short intermission. PG-13, families welcome.
9:30PM - Long Form improv featuring local improvisers. Groups will improvise longer comedic pieces using audience suggestions as inspiration. Akin to what you may have seen at some of the famous improv theatres in Chicago and New York. Runs approximately 75 min with no intermission. Unrated, may contain adult content and themes.
The July 11th 7:30 show will pit South Bend’s Shower Buddies against New Buffalo’s Third Coast Improvinators. In the 9:30 show the same teams will switch gears and each will perform longer pieces to flex their improv muscle in a non-competitive show.
The goal of The Improv Mill is to bring professional grade improvisational theater to the Michiana area to entertain, edify and delight audiences. As unscripted, spontaneous theatre each show is a one time only experience and there is no telling what will happen.
Admission is $15 per show and those who come to the 7:30 show will have the opportunity to stay for the 9:30 for only $5, space permitting.
