Methamphetamine Lab Bust
On 12-22-2014 at approximately 1900hrs, the Berrien County Sheriff Department’s Road Patrol and the Buchanan City Police Department were following up on information of a subject living at the residence who had outstanding warrants out for his arrest.
Uniform Officers made contact with the male subject, a conversation with the subject resulted in allowing the officers into the house and the discovery of a meth lab, finished product, components and equipment to manufacture were located. Officers also located a quantity of marijuana.
As a result of this police contact, Officers seized the controlled substances, dismantled and removed hazardous material from the residence.
The male resident was arrested for the two (2) outstanding warrants and charged with new charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, manufacture methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine within 500 feet of a residence and maintaining a drug house. All charges are second offenses due to a prior drug conviction on the suspect. The report of this incident will be forwarded to the Berrien County Prosecutors Office for review; the male subject was lodged at the Berrien County Jail on his above mentioned respective charges, pending his arraignment in the Berrien County Trial Court.

#2: Possession of Methamphetamine, 2nd Offense.
#3: Manufacture Methamphetamine, 2nd Offense.
#4: Manufacture Methamphetamine w/i 500 feet of a residence, 2nd Offense.
