REGISTRATION OPEN FOR DISNEY’S PETER PAN JR. PRODUCTION

(Grades 1 - 12)

 

Stevensville, MI (July 23, 2014) – Registration is now open for CMW’s production of Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. Filled with adventure, music and a beloved hero, this is the magical story based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie's enchanting play; the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up! Peter Pan Jr. includes classic Disney songs, such as Following the Leader, You Can Fly, The Second Star to the Right and Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life for Me.

 

Wendy Darling loves to tell stories to her brothers, Michael and John. But when her father announces she must move out of the nursery, Peter Pan comes to visit the children and whisks them away to Never Land. Their adventure introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook!

 

Performance dates: November 21, 22 & 23, 2014 at the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center, Benton Harbor, Michigan. Cast member orientation/audition prep: Wednesday, September 3, 2014; 6 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran School, 2673 W. John Beers Road, Stevensville, Michigan. Rehearsals are held on Saturdays at St. Paul’s. Staff includes: Director Susan Matheny; Choreographer Emily Hosinski; Music Director Marcus Roll and Assistant Director Dave Neidlinger. Participants are encouraged to register early; cast size is limited. Registration forms and financial assistance scholarship forms are available atwww.cmwonline.org. The production is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

 

Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. has music & lyrics by Sammy Cahn, Sammy Fain, Michelle Tumes, Xavier Atencio, George Bruns, Jack Lawrence, Frank Churchill, Winston Hibler, Ted Sears, Oliver Wallace and Ray Kelley; music adapted and arranged and additional lyrics by David Zellnick.
