Narrative:
On 09/28/2025 at approximately 1449hrs, Deputies from The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of 9200 block of Dwight Boyer Rd near M-140 in Watervliet Township for a serious injury accident. Reports of entrapment and an unconscious driver was reported to responding deputies, who arrived on scene and were assisted by Medic1 Community Ambulance, as well as several other area agencies. The entrapped driver was extricated and transported to Corewell Health St. Joseph and is in critical condition. Three other involved parties suffered minor injuries and were released from the scene. Speed is considered a contributing factor in this incident. This incident remains under investigation by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit.
