St. Joseph Township Police Department called to a Murder/ Suicide Thursday morning

On December 11, 2014, officers responded to a call of a shooting at 2946 Windsor Dr.  Upon arrival officers spoke with a teenage male who was at the residence at the time of the incident.  After speaking to the male subject, officers made entry and located a deceased male and female, believed to be husband and wife, in the master bedroom area of the residence who both had apparent gunshot wounds.

Upon further investigation it appears the male subject shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself in an apparent murder/suicide.

At this point the motive is unknown. 

The deceased male was identified as Kevin Hickman, 49 years old.

The deceased female was identified as Kathleen Hickman, 45 years old.

The investigation is ongoing.
