Susan Ann Burrows Obituary

Susan Ann Burrows, age 75, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 6 at 12:00 pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Please feel free to visit Susan’s online guestbook at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Susan was born on March 14, 1951 in St. Joseph to Zeno and Loretta (Beyer) Terlisner. On February 16, 1974, she married Terry E. Burrows and the two celebrated 52 wonderful years of marriage.

Susan was an extremely talented crafter and made numerous quilts over the years with and for her family. She also enjoyed spending her time completing jigsaw puzzles. She looked forward to chatting and visiting with her sisters. Susan and Terry spent the summers camping with their three children while growing up, and more recently at Reddmann’s Campground. Susan loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Susan was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December of 2022 but didn’t let the diagnosis stop her from living her life. She fought hard everyday and her incredible strength will always be remembered by her family and friends.

Susan is survived by her husband, Terry; daughters, Annette (Gordon) Roose, Lisa (Jason) Russell, and Jennifer (Jonny) Stickler; grandchildren, Nathan Linn, Conner Cunningham (Kaylee), Kevin (Dawn) Burrows, Emily Russell, Dylan Russell, Ethan Russell, Wyatt Stickler, and Charlotte Stickler; great-grandchildren, Mattie, Zaeleigh, and Eli; siblings, Eugene (Carol) Terlisner, Evelyn (Tony) Mazzola, Ruth Ann (Randy) Enos, Diane (Joe) Janunz, Janet (Bob) Bliss and Bernice (Bob) Cannon; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeno and Loretta and siblings, Robert (Janice) Terlisner, Mary Ann (Chuck) Rhodes, Melvin Terlisner, Linda Morrison, and Donald (Nancy) Terlisner.
