Tara Deam Fundraiser

In September 2012, Tara started first grade at Roosevelt Elementary. She became ill, the doctors ordered an MRI, and the MRI revealed a mass in her brain and the same day Tara went to Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago. Surgery was performed the next business day.

Soon the tumor started growing back and was half the size it was before. Since the tumor was so aggressive the surgeons started with 3 rounds of chemotherapy, then proton radiation and then finishing with 3 rounds of chemotherapy.

Tara's last 4 MRI scans have come back stable! She has a long road ahead of her. She has monthly doctor appointments in Chicago. The chemotherapy caused her to lose her high frequency hearing and hearing aids were purchased. Tara’s sight was damaged from the brain tumor so Tara got glasses. Tara started second grade in September 2014.

Your support is needed to help Tara and her family. We are in need of silent auction donations. All would be auctioned off at the October 18 fundraiser.
